amor fati

perfect for a sunny sunday, washed out has let us into his head with a little taste of the upcoming within and without. stepping out from behind the faded indifference that has come to be the hallmark of much of his music, Amor Fati is a little more forward and poignant, but doesn't stray too far from the original washed out model, and goodness am i taken. have a listen, and feel free to join me in my laborious (albeit mental) wait for the july 11 release.

washed out - amor fati

within and without

ohboyohboyohboy

washed out's debut has a release date (july 11) super-sexy cover art (see above), and best of all, an album opener released to the adoring public. this will be the soundtrack of the modern white person, kids. get on board.

that is all.

washed out - eyes be closed

please stay

i am absolutely smitten with this 'chillwave' thing that's going on in teh interwebosphere. the faded, 80's loops are the perfect cure to late April, when you miss summer like an old girlfriend and you couldn't care less about the indoor management rule and the sight of cold precipitation makes you sleepy.

summer heart - please stay
